Stellar Entertainment partnering with Criterion for the re-release.
It’s been an open trick for a while, however we lastly have verification that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is certainly coming out this year, with Xbox One, PC and PS4 variations beginning November sixth while a Nintendo Switch variation follows quickly after on November 13th.
As with Burnout Paradise Remastered, it’s a cooperation in between Stellar Entertainment and initial designer Criterion – the studio that’s now back in charge of the Need for Speed series after its period at Ghost Games.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is aiming for 60fps on PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, with the Switch variation targeting 30fps, while all the DLC Hot Pursuit taken pleasure in is being woven into the primary project. There are other small tweaks occasionally, while multiplayer – consisting of the at-the-time groundbreaking Autolog – will be cross-platform (it deserves keeping in mind that your old times will not be ported throughout).
Perhaps most notably, however, the driving experience that made Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit among my all-time favourites is undamaged and as amusing as ever in the past. You can check out a bit more about all of it in our current interview with Criterion’s VP Matt Webster and Chris Roberts, among the initial group on Hot Pursuit who’s now dealing with its remaster at Stellar Entertainment.
